Resident doctors and trainers meet every Tuesday morning for one hour before patient care begins to have a didactic session about published research articles. The meetings usually take the format of presentation and feedback, whereby a scheduled research publication is critically reviewed by a resident doctor and moderated by a consultant.

The purpose of this Journal Club meeting is to expose residents to the process and practise of reviewing research articles in the most hands-on manner.
